Mythical sea dips in Ithaca

Ithaca is an idyllic island featuring azure blue waters, surrounded by lush green nature. Let’s set a starting point in Vathi village and explore the beaches you should not miss in legendary Ithaca.
Few minutes walk from the bay of Vathi, you can find the sandy beaches Loutsa and Dexa. According to the myth, it was Dexa beach where Ulysses disembarked on his return to Ithaca.
About 3 km southern from Vathi, you can find Filiatro beach. It is a well organized beach with white pebbles, turquoise waters and a lively beach bar. In a distance smaller than a kilometre from Filiatro, enjoy exotic sea dips in Sarakiniko beach.

In the northern part of the island, you can swim in the inlets of Kioni or the small coves in Frikes (25 km from Vathi), featuring an exotic scenery, resembling Caribbean landscape.
For a real experience of diving in emerald green waters, you must definitely visit Gidaki beach. An impressive scenery, as the golden sand merges with crystal blue-green water, feels like it jumped out of a postcard!
